The dark and mysterious Long Pool on the East Lyn River. Situated at the bottom of
a 200ft gorge it's best accessed from the same side of the river as The Rockford Inn.
It's a popular spot for anglers and walkers and where you can see the salmon as they
lay waiting in the depths for heavy rain to bring the river into speight (flood).
There will then be enough water for them to continue their journey upstream to the shallow spawning beds just along from The Rockford Inn. |
Lyn Pool. Twenty foot deep and a great spot for swimming
