The routes

From Taunton
... take the A358 west towards Minehead. After 15 miles the road joins the A39 at Wiliton. Carry on towards Minehead 8 Miles further on. Go past Minehead. Go through Porlock. Go over the moor passing two cattle grids. Between Porlock and Lynton/Lynmouth there are 2 roads signposted towards Brendon. Take the first one you see. The road will take you down into the village of Brendon. Go over the old stone bridge and turn right (there is a sign post to direct you). The Rockford Inn is about 1 mile further on down the lane.

From Barnstaple
... take the A39 east towards Lynton (dont go into Lynton). 2.4 miles after Barbrook turn right onto the B3223. Take the 2nd turning on your left. If you miss it dont worry take the next turning on your left. Both roads will take you down into the hamlet of Rockford.

From the South
on the A361 turn North onto the A399 at N Aller Roundabout. After 1.4 miles turn right towards Kinsford Hill. At Simonsbath turn left onto the B3223 towards Lynton. The road will take you over the moor. After the second cattle grid take the first right towards Brendon. This road will take you down into the hamlet of Rockford

We serve local brewed ales poured direct from cask barrels behind the bar.

Fishing
Permits to fish for salmon & trout in the East lyn River are available from the bar.

There is free wifi access for all our customers with their own laptop computers. A desktop PC is also available in the bar.

Car Park
We have space for upto 15 cars.
When this is full you can also park for free along the lane and up the hill, no more than 50 yards away (as you drive the pub should be on your left).

Dogs are welcome
Well behaved dogs are allowed in the bar area.

Pony Treking
and horse riding can be arranged from stables nearby.
